Day 1 | Arrival at Entrevaux, a charming medieval village |
Day 2 | Start trekking right above the breath-taking Dalius Gorge to Villeplane |
Day 3 | Walk along the foot of Mt. Sainte Honorat to the charming village of Sauze |
Day 4 | Across the river Var and up a barren ridge to Bouchanières |
Day 5 | Circular hike to Col de Barels with splendid views of the provencal "hinterland" |
Day 6 | Enjoy the panoramic views from the "Tête de Méric" and continue to Péone |
Day 7 | Follow the trail high above the Var Valley to the hamlet of Estenc |
Day 8 | Hike in the remote mountains of the Mercantour National Park |
Day 9 | Best for last! Across a barren plateau with scattered tarns back to Estenc |
Day 10 | A gentle walk along the Var River between towering cliffs to Entraunes. By local train to Nice. End of the trekking program. |

Requirements
- Experienced hiker, used to hike on rocky narrow mountain trails
- Able to hike 4 to 6 hours daily (with a day--pack)
- Elevation changes according to program
- Handle heights
